MODERN DEVELOPMENT OF TYMPANOPLASTY


Abstract
In the last decade, Tympanoplastic Surgery has been greatly developed. This development rests on a certain number of problems;
1) on the selection of cases
2) on the different ossiculoplasty, particularly the incus repositioning, malleus graft and mastoid cortex bone or the spine of Henle graft, either to increase the bight of stapes or to create a columella.
3) on the different approach, such as Tympanoplasty and transcanal anterior atticotympanotomy, Tympanoplasty and transcortical matoidectomy with the posterior transmatcid atticotympanotomy (Facial recess) and Tympanoplasty and modified radical mastoidectomy with or without canal wall reconstruction.
